The specification is the product. The brand is not.

This is the single most expensive mistake in lubricant procurement, and it is almost always made the same way: someone orders by viscosity.
5W-30 is not a specification. It is a viscosity grade, and dozens of oils share it while meeting completely different manufacturer approvals. A 5W-30 approved to VW 504 00/507 00 and a 5W-30 approved to nothing are the same viscosity and different products. One protects a DPF and a timing chain under a long-life service interval. The other voids the warranty.

Order by approval, then by viscosity. If you send us the specification, you get the right oil. If you send only the grade, we will ask for the specification before quoting.
