ROWE HIGHTEC MULTI SYNT DPF SAE 5W-30

ROWE Hightec Multi Synt DPF SAE 5W-30 is a synthetic engine oil approved to VW 504 00/507 00, Porsche C30, BMW Longlife-04 and MB 229.31/229.51/229.52. It suits petrol and diesel engines with or without turbocharger, including those with a diesel particulate filter. Etron Parts & Tools supplies it in 4×5L boxes.

Which engines this oil is approved for

The approvals are what matter, not the viscosity. 5W-30 is a grade shared by dozens of oils meeting completely different manufacturer standards — this one holds:

• VW 504 00 / 507 00 — VW Group long-life, petrol and diesel with DPF

• Porsche C30 — Porsche 5W-30 applications

• BMW Longlife-04

• MB 229.31 / 229.51 / 229.52 — Mercedes-Benz

If your service schedule calls for any of those, this oil satisfies it. If it calls for something else, ordering by "5W-30" alone will get you the wrong product.

Why the DPF approval matters

A diesel particulate filter traps soot and burns it off in a regeneration cycle. Oil that is not low-SAPS — low in sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur — leaves ash residue the regeneration cannot remove. That ash accumulates, the filter blocks, and the replacement is a four-figure job.

This oil is ACEA C3, the low-SAPS class, which is why it carries the VW 507 00 and Porsche C30 approvals in the first place. It is not an optional refinement on a DPF engine; it is the difference between a filter that lasts and one that does not.
