FUCHS TITAN GT1 FLEX C23 5W-30

FUCHS TITAN GT1 FLEX C23 5W-30 is a low-SAPS premium engine oil for petrol, diesel and gas engines with exhaust aftertreatment systems, including selected hybrids. Its BluEV Technology formulation protects aftertreatment durability and guards against Low-Speed Pre-Ignition. Etron Parts & Tools supplies it in 210-litre drums.

What C23 means, and what it does not

C23 refers to the ACEA C2/C3 low-SAPS classes — reduced sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur, which is what protects a DPF or GPF from ash loading.

It is not a VW 504.00/507.00 oil. If your service schedule specifies VW 504/507, this is not the correct product regardless of the matching viscosity — see Eurol Syntence XT or ROWE Multi Synt DPF instead. C23 is broad OEM coverage, not VW long-life approval.

Stating that plainly costs a sale occasionally. It prevents a warranty claim every time.

Hybrid suitability and LSPI protection

Two features distinguish this oil from a conventional low-SAPS 5W-30:

LSPI protection. Low-Speed Pre-Ignition affects downsized turbocharged direct-injection petrol engines under load at low revs, and it can destroy a piston. The additive package is formulated against it.

BluEV Technology extends suitability to selected hybrid applications, where the duty cycle involves frequent cold starts and long idle periods that age conventional oil faster.

Changing over from another oil

Miscible and compatible with conventional branded engine oils, but a complete drain is recommended when converting. Mixing dilutes the additive package the product is bought for.

Engines from the late 1990s and early 2000s can be converted. On diesel, use only where low sulphur fuel is available.
