The Lithium S is a small, heavy-duty blanket for isolating lithium-ion fires at the pack and module scale — open battery packs, e-mobility devices and hazardous modules. It is designed as the first layer, applied directly to the object and then covered by a full-size blanket that reaches the ground.
This is a first layer, not a whole answer
The most common mistake with this product is buying it as a small fire blanket. It is not. It is the inner layer of a two-layer system.
Applied directly to the burning pack or module, it takes the direct thermal load. A larger blanket then goes over the top and extends to ground level, and that outer layer is what actually contains heat, gases and smoke.

Why battery work needs its own blanket
A vehicle fire blanket is sized and shaped to drape a car. A battery workshop is dealing with something else: a pack on a bench, a module out of its enclosure, a rack of cells in a recycling line, an e-bike battery on charge.
Those objects are small, close to the operator and often already opened. The failure is frequently a single cell in an assembly that a technician is standing over. The response has to be something one person can throw over a bench object immediately — which is what this size is for.
What the certifications cover, stated precisely
The core fabric is tested to EN ISO 1182 (non-combustibility) and EN ISO 1716 (gross heat of combustion), and classified EN 13501-1 Class A1 — the highest European reaction- to-fire classification. Surface and volume resistivity are measured in accordance with ASTM D257, which matters where the blanket contacts live electrical assemblies.
These are core-fabric classifications. They describe what the material does under standardised test conditions. They are not a system-level rating for a specific battery chemistry, and this page does not claim one.
