Heat Block is Bridgehill's structural protection product — a high-performance thermal barrier hung on or between buildings to block radiant heat and flying embers from a nearby fire. It protects the structure while the fire is brought under control. Used in wildfire-exposed areas, densely built neighbourhoods and construction sites.
This protects property, not vehicles
Every other product in this range is thrown over something that is burning. Heat Block is hung between a fire and something that is not burning yet.
That single difference changes the buyer, the specification conversation and the deployment plan. It is a barrier, not a containment blanket, and it is bought by people whose problem is a fire approaching rather than a fire in front of them.
Radiant heat and embers are two separate threats
A structure near a fire is attacked twice over.
Radiant heat arrives across open space and dries, chars and eventually ignites exposed surfaces without any flame contact at all. Embers travel on the wind and land in gutters, under eaves and on decks — and ember ignition, not the fire front, is what takes most buildings in a wildfire.
Heat Block is positioned against both: the barrier blocks the radiant path and stops wind-carried embers reaching the surface behind it.
Where it is deployed
Wildfires — hung to protect a building or property from a spreading fire front while the fire is brought under control.
Between buildings — fire moves between structures easily, and a barrier hung on or between them keeps a neighbouring building from igniting. Bridgehill particularly recommends it for closely packed wooden buildings and listed buildings, where the structure itself cannot be modified and the loss is irreplaceable.
Construction sites — temporary structures, stored materials and partly built frames with no fire suppression installed yet.
